Project Justice [Arcade] - Gorin-F & Gorin-M (unused characters)
This is a demonstration of the unused characters Gorin-F and Gorin-M in the Arcade version of Project Justice / Rival Schools 2. Read on below for more information...
Gorin-F and Gorin-M are both unused characters, which obviously means that they are non-selectable.
===== About Gorin-F and Gorin-M =====
Going by the names, these two are from the Gorin High School, and 'F' and 'M' obviously stands for Female and Male.
Design-wise, they are exactly what would be a product of the 'create-a-character' board game (Nekketsu Nikki mode) from the Japanese Dreamcast version of the game. I even remember you could choose from the same faces and hairstyles they have here, and they even have the same voices!
Moves-wise, they share a lot of the other character's special moves.
Because these two characters are already 'pre-made', it seems that Capcom may have originally considered to make them secret unplayable characters in this version of the game... but decided against it in the end. The reason? Probably because it would 'lessen' the uniqueness and hype of the character-creation board game/mode for the then-forthcoming Dreamcast version.
===== Additional Information =====
---- For the unused characters, their cursor position on the Free Mode character select screen is halfway off the grid on the right side. For some it seems to be the random [?] box.
---- For most of the unused students, their character select screen and versus portraits is the blue and pink silhouettes... the same ones used on the then-later Dreamcast version of the game.
---- For some of the unused students, on the character select screen sometimes their 'portrait' can cause flaws or even freeze the game.
---- As non-regular characters, they have somewhat less detail than the proper characters.
