This is a simulation of the Mercury Atlas Rocket that was used in Project Mercury in the year 1962-1963 to deliver an astronaut to space in an orbital flight four times. The Atlas Rocket is 29 meters tall, 5 meter wide, 1200 tons rocket with 1300 kn of thrust and can carry up to 1.36 tons of payload into low Earth orbit.

This video was simulated in Kerbal Space Program (KSP).

The planet you see isn't Earth. It's a fictional planet called Kerbin. (for those of you who aren't familiar with the game)
