CERiNG made NJSRT, which is where this file came from! He also makes non-modded simfiles, if you're more used to the arrows not going crazy!
This file was a mess to go through. I still don't understand holds, so I apologize about some mods not quite lining up to the original.
Mod changes:
Tried making drawsize consistent. Keyword: tried.
no mooore blind! [thud]
Attempted emulating approachtype. Keyword: attempted.
100% modtimer becomes modtimersong.
Added tinyusesminicalc.
gayholds are just negative straightholds.
Found the equivalent SquarePeriod to use.
Visual changes:
Anything involving hold madness won't look quite like the original. Sorry...
Internal changes:
Made use of the Tweens namespace when possible.
Used ratios to scale things like:
- Positioning
- Zoom
The BG isn't a BETTERBG, so InitCommands that set attributes become OnCommands, and Var attributes become InitCommands (because making lua variables work)
I fabricated the sides of the radial fade at 1:26 onwards.
Attempted reducing the amount of globals in use.
Did some rotafterzoom(false)
Used an InputHandler for the minigame.
The minigame now can handle two player inputs for the same question.
Instead of SetTexture-ing everything, I just load what I need right off the bat.
Grabbed arrow position (for the dunnos) through ArrowEffects and PlayerOptions functions.
Ease reader now uses PlayerOptions functions and can func_ease.
No need to force the players positions into the center forever.
Did some wrapper state abuse.
Spiralholds replaced with NoteField functions.
Incremented some columns.
noteskew becomes NoteSkewX.
Have problems getting this to work, or want me to convert something to SM5? Let me know!
