Project Quarm Linux Install
Project Quarm is a time locked progression server coming out October 1st. It will start at vanilla, than progress to the next expansion every nine months, stopping at planes of power.
Step 1 - If you don't already have flatpack, go to - https://www.flatpak.org
Click on the symbol that represents your distro, in my case I am on Linux Mint, so it's Ubuntu. Copy and paste the install instructions in the terminal.
Step 2 - If you haven't yet, install Lutris. https://lutris.net
Follow the steps for your distribution, in the case of Ubuntu you can use a flatpak install or follow the other instructions.
Step 3 - In the search bar type in Software Manager, open it and search proton. Download protonup-qt.
Step 4 - Navigate to /home/yourusername/.local/share/lutris/runners/wine, create a folder called lutris-GE-Proton8-7-x86_64. The exact name is in the description.
This is the folder name, exactly without quotation marks - "lutris-GE-Proton8-7-x86_64"
Step 5 - Open Protonup-qt, click the add version button, select ge-proton8-7. Install.
Step 6 - Download the project files.

dgvoodoo (download dgvoodoo v2.81.3) - http://dege.freeweb.hu/dgVoodoo2/dgVoodoo2/
Step 7 - Download the install script here - https://gist.github.com/ahungry/b6427ebe04dc6dfbfb0e2122bad0cdab
Go to the bottom, and copy the lutris install script. You don't need to copy #Step 1-3, copy from id: 0 down to the bottom.
Open Lutris and click the plus icon in the top left of the screen. Select install from yaml script, navigate to the script you download and install. The installer will ask for the takp client, the project quarm files and the dgvoodoo files, if you did everything properly it should install.
Step 8 - Download my dgvoodoo.conf - https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/ltqgx3prylelv74q0zu30/dgVoodoo.conf?rlkey=i031g7tunkqhy01oke0ysl62b&dl=0
Right click on your install and click browse. That will open up a folder. Put the dgvoodoo file in the client folder. Next navigate to the dgvoodoo folder and delete the dgvoodoo.conf that's in there. This will assure you have no annoying watermark.
Step 9 - In the eq-quarm folder search eqclient.ini, open it with the text program of your choosing. In VideoMode change your resolution, if you play like me I recommend changing your refresh rate to 30, else you'll vibrate worse than I did in the beta experience video.
Step 10 - Play the game.
