Welcome back to the channel. Today, we're taking a look at a brand new mod that's been making waves in the community: the MD500 helicopter mod by the Redline Mod Team.
I have recently seen this mod fly to the number one spot under most popular mods in ARMA Reforger so had to take a look at it, I was pleasantly surprised.
The MD500 helicopter mod adds the iconic MD500 helicopter to ARMA Reforger. This versatile aircraft is known for its speed and agility, making it perfect for reconnaissance, transport, and light attack missions. The mod is still a work in progress, but it's already shaping up to be one of the most popular and highly-rated mods on the workshop.
One of the things that sets this mod apart is the level of detail and realism. The 3D model is highly detailed, and the aircraft is fully textured and animated.
The Mod adds the MD500 with various skins and each variant has a bench for transporting troops around the battlefield.
My favorite models are these ones with the digital camouflage. I think the design looks great, it would be awesome to see this one with some weaponry.
I didn’t test it, as I was playing single player but I would love to see the radio system in the MD500 work as a long range radio so that communication is possible with ground troops.
The mod is still a work in progress, but the developer is actively updating and improving it. Recent updates have included bug fixes, performance improvements, and various model tweeks.
Crashing does nothing, you can just bounce off the floor and trees and continue. But it’s like this with all vehicles in the game. As a bonus, you can easily self right the MD500!
Overall, the MD500 helicopter mod is a fantastic addition to ARMA Reforger. It's highly detailed, realistic, and offers players a new and exciting way to experience the game from the air. The fact that it's still a work in progress is actually a good thing, as it means that players can look forward to even more improvements and new features in the future. If you're a fan of the ARMA series and helicopters, this mod is a must-have.
