The global pandemic starting in 2020 impacted the world in many unexpected ways – demonstrating that we need increased readiness to respond to global risks and to be able to help society resume its normal function while safeguarding everyone.
All over the world various initiatives leveraging AI and ML offered approaches for help with decision making and better handle the disruption
The Global Initiative on AI and Data Commons is initiating a public collaborative effort named “Project Resilience”. The vision, in the continuity of efforts towards AI for the common good, is to create a public AI service where a global community of innovators and thought leaders can enhance and utilize a collection of data and AI approaches both in the context of the current pandemic and for similar future challenges. The goal is to collaboratively design and build an open AI system that could inform and help tackle global decision-augmentation problems.

What is AI for Good?
The AI for Good series is the leading action-oriented, global & inclusive United Nations platform on AI. The Summit is organized all year, always online, in Geneva by the ITU with XPRIZE Foundation in partnership with over 35 sister United Nations agencies, Switzerland and ACM.
