Proton / Wine GE (Glorious Eggroll) Tutorial (Steam and Lutris)
18While installing and tweaking Forza Horizon 4 I needed to find a video explaining how GE Proton / Wine works because I had never used custom Wine / Proton versions before. So, I turned to YouTube where I did not find what I was looking for, so I went to the Github repositories and followed the guides there (for Lutris), and thinking it was the same for Steam I actually copied the files for Lutris to the Steam file location and I realised that it is not as easy as I thought it would have been, when I figured it all out (not to long after) I created this video to make insure that people watching it will later understand what they are dealing with when it comes to the different Steam and Lutris versions of Proton / Wine GE.

Directories you will use while following the tutorial:
Steam installation directory: ~/.steam/root/compatibilitytools.d (should be created if you are doing this for the first time)
Lutris installation directory: /home/USERNAME/.local/share/lutris/runners/wine/
