Hey youtube this is my one of a kind ps vita mod. (and the reason why i say that it is a one of a kind is because there is a switch on it so i can shut off the lights when ever i want to.) This is a 3g ps vita so it was very hard wiring up the wires if you have a wifi one and you do it, it will be easy.
here are the supplies that you will need if you ever want to do this mod....
-Dremel or Drill (with 5/64" or 1/8" bit)
-Soldering iron (a cheap $15 will do fine if you know how to use it)
-Solder (some good stuff, flux paste would help a little but not mandatory)
-30 gauge solid core wire (kynar is great, but any solid core copper or silver is good enough.
-LEDS (I used what radioshack had,but feel free to use what you want. 0603 leds are the norm.
-Small #000 Philips Screwdriver
-Soft plastic pry tool -Electrical tape and glue gel make sure its the gel and not the liquid glue
-a wheel for the dremmel.

and be sure to read the entire guide along with this video before attempting mod.

-The first thing i did was unscrew the 8 screws 4 on the back 2 on the bottom and 2 on the top the top ones are in one of the flaps that open up.
-Then i used a small plastic card and fed it threw the crevesses so it will come undone (ounce you get it undone DO NOT just rip it open because there are two wires that you need to unplug on the bottom.) the wires pull up.
-next i just took off the triggers and took my dremmel and drilled a hole big enough for the leds to fit through. (The leds that i used were way to big so i had to file them down a lot. you may need to do so as well because i could'nt find smaller leds than those at radioshack.
-after i soldered the 30 gauge wire to the two ends of the led. and after that i glued them inside of the trigger and moved it around so the triggers will feel normal then i moved the wires around through the system on the back panel though. so the wires were not touching anything improtant.
-after that i used the electrical tape to make sure the wires will stay in place.
-(this is where u use a wheel on the dremmel) i cut open a hole just enough for the micro switch on the bottom can fit through it and then glued the switch in place and soldered the positive wire to the middle lip on the switch and the negative wire to the speaker.(do this for both leds)
-then i ran another wire from the left lip on the switch to the positive output on the speaker.(again do this for both leds) and after that i used liqued electrical tape to put one all the solders that i hav done.
-and your all done just pop it back together.

If you dont want to add a switch to it just send the positive wire to the positive out put on the speaker and the negative wire to the negative out out on the speaker. do this for both of the leds.

If you want me to make a vid on everything i just explained message me.
