PS1 - Spec Ops: Airborne Commando - Intro and Training Mission
With the November 18th and December 3rd crisis finally passed away, I decided to go back and show you more bad and obscure games (as always).
This time around, I'll be showing you another crappy and dirt-common Take 2 game (It's the 2nd time after Hidden & Dangerous) that no one has ever posted a full walkthrough on.
This game is of course Spec Ops: Airborne Commando, which was released in late 2002 (Early 2003 in PAL, according to Defconsoft). It's the 4th installment of the very subpar Spec Ops series of games, and the last Spec Ops game to be released on the PS1.
While the first three games in the series were third-person shooters, that were amazingly terrible, due to poor hit detection, too high difficulty (They were hard the frustrating way). and also being the same thing over and over again (Ranger Elite was the same as Stealth Patrol, except with new missions and music; and Covert Assault was the same as Ranger Elite, but with new missions too, which use the same exact music over and over again.), this game however is entirely different: It's played in a bird's eye view, it has no time limit, and it was developed by a different developer called Big Grub (of R/C Stunt Copter fame), whereas the previous three games were developed by Runecraft.
Out of all the 4 Spec Ops games released, this is by far the best game of the 4, although not by much, as it's still very lackluster, due to being very short (Only 10 Missions and that's it, Game Over.) and also super easy for the most part (At least it's nowhere near as frustrating as the previous games), but at least it was way better than Runecraft's offerings, playability-wise.
