I am playing with a aftermarket controller that uses an analog stick like it is the d-pad. This game does not support analog thumb sticks. Only the d-pad. So, with the Pelican/PDP Edge Controller for PS2 I have from Walmart I am able to use the left thumb stick to move the character by not having the red light on, which means the full analog function of the sticks is turned off. Meaning they function as the d-pad instead. Model number PL-6688. It also has a large circle d-pad design and comes in wired or wireless versions. Mine is wired.
