PS2 UDPBD Server Windows Tutorial - Better than SMB? (English, 2023)
309Recently I've been testing out the UDPBD Server tool on Windows 11 (also works in Linux and MacOS) which is a custom network protocol that should have better performance for PS2 games instead of using the SMB method.
I personally love this solution since it is less hassle and easier to setup initially when compared to SMB.
If not obvious, you need a way to run the custom build of OPL and then if you want to do the USB method, put your DVD ISO games into the "DVD" folder or the bin/cue files in the "CD" folder.
Some tips if you have issues getting this to work on your end:
1) Disable firewall or allow the server through the firewall.
2) Check your Ethernet cable to ensure you have connection either to your PS2 or router.
3) If doing direct connect to PS2, set a static ip address on PC within the 192.168.1.X network.
If router method, then enable DHCP and make sure the router is assigning ip addresses within the 192.168.1.X network.
