I remember dismissing Junkyard Dog back when I played TMB, but seeing an amazing Easy difficulty speedrun for him done by DollMask made me re-assess my view of him. It was what pushed me into doing a stronger Warthog run than I had previously, and eventually consider speedrunning with Junkyard Dog himself. It's very possible to do a Warthog-level run with Junkyard Dog, though I was mostly aiming for a sub-19 min run once I saw myself hitting roughly similar checkpoints per level like I did with Warthog. And yes, I opted to die on purpose on Skyscrapers to refresh my energy, but Sweet Tooth dying shortly after made it worth it.
