Over the course of last year, a total of 14 games were released for PS3. Quite a large number considering that Sony discontinued shipment of new PS3 consoles to the US in late 2016. Here's gameplay samples of two of those games released last year:

The Surfer: Released in mid-December 2017, this is actually a PS3 exclusive (!) which has been in development since 2012. It's from Australian indie devs Bungarra Software, and it's actually their first game. It's really a very enjoyable game in the style of Tony Hawk, but with surfing. The overall graphics and presentation also remind me of something we would have seen on the Dreamcast or early PS2, and make me feel nostalgic for those days...

Bungarra have a VERY cool and detailed website for the game as well, which actually contains a retro styled manual for the game, as well as a very detailed Developer's Diary blog giving some very intriguing behind the scenes details on the development of the game. DLC is also planned for later this year.

#killallzombies: Originally released on PS4 back in 2014, The PS3 didn't see a port of this title until March of 2017 (!). The PS3 port was handled by SPL (Smartphone Labs), and overall is very faithful to the PS4 original. Definitely a fun game, great for when you want to game but don't have much time!
