Got a cheap unbranded USB 3 (although in reality its just a blue USB 2 connector) capture card as even with a splitter my Aver Media LGP Lite still reports the HDMI output of the PS3 as copy protected,. This new capture card exceeded expectations, tested replaying the GTA 5 mission Franklin and Lamar.
Never realised the mission was so forgiving with how much damage the car can get and still get gold medal pass.
