Three PlayStation 3 games are tested using the RPCS3 Emulator on the M1 MacBook Air. It has no active cooling. Passively cooled by the chasis itself. This specific 2020 M1 MacBook Air has the thermal pad mod, which hasn't proven itself really useful under extremely high load. However, in the mid ranges not bad. Lost Planet isn't running smooth but it is running nonetheless less. This is already progress since these games weren't working at this level the last time I tested them. Killer is Dead is finally playable, maybe not the best or smoothest frame rate but most definitely playable. Last, we have an all-time classic from Valve: Half-Life 2. In this case, we're looking at the PlayStation 3 Port which despite feeling as if it were to fall apart at any moment, manages to hold a steady 30fps and is actually playable. However, as you can also observe, while running HL-2 on the RPCS3 emulator, CPU maxes out at 100% and temperatures are on the rise.

All in all, three new games that are working on the M1 Mac chip. If you own any system after this one, you should haver better performance, in any case.
