(Ps3) Tekken 6 - Scenario Campaign
3(mini review) You play single player with an AI partner; mostly it's Alisa.
Later on, in a few levels you partner with Raven and if you play as Alisa you get matched up with Lars. There is no single player offline co-op though you can play 2 player online co-op with any of the characters & 10 'online' levels.
There is a story involved and nearly every character has a level and is a boss fight. Most level's involve fighting your way down streets, paths and through buildings to the boss. Once you beat a level you can replay it at anytime by selecting it from the world map as seen at the start of this video. Located at certain points in levels you can pick up long metal pipes or a big flame thrower or machine gun. One level allows you to play as a giant robot named Nancy.
My character is in all different colors cause he is upgraded to the max with items that have special attributes like 2 full bars of health, increased attack, freeze enemy attack, nullify enemy elemental attacks, etc... Pretty cool game, and a great way to earn $ to buy character customization stuff and pick items to sell or wear that have attributes.
It needs an update. There has to be a lock-on option. You can select a character to lock-on to which makes you look that way but it doesn't actually LOCK you so you can perform moves. To clarify, if you press down x you will step down and then x will occur. You have a very difficult time doing moves cause the game doesn't totally at your option LOCK you into the enemy, it just places an arrow over them and sort of locks you onto them, but you can still walk away and such. Just needs a LOCK-ON like suddenly moving to a 2D world and every command is done like you are in a normal match facing this enemy.
The mode is not totally useless, and it has a bug when moving from 1 enemy to another that makes you throw a punch at nothing in between. Combos and all moves can be performed, but it is very hard to do it and enjoy the experience as much as you would if it had a real LOCK-ON.
I gave up on it (after completion and replays) cause if its crap I am not playing it. I don't even want to recommend it. It should be a mode that can be endlessly played, and you either need to play it briefly or for a very extended time to get something out of it. And with the extended time comes the realization that it only needed a LOCK-ON.
