Search And Destroy - Takemura calls me to inform me that he's hiding out at an abandoned apartment on Vine Street and to hurry and meet him there. He tells me that he used a sedative on Hanako and that she tried to activate her tracker. I sit down to talk with her and explain that I saw her father Saburo Arasaka die because I was at Konpeki Plaza. I go on to tell her that he wasn't poisoned and that her brother Yorinobu has lied to her and that he is the murderer.

I inform her that her prototype Relic biochip is in my head slowly killing me. She doesn't believe me and then there's a knock at the door. I go to see who it is and then we are all attacked by the Arasaka Assault Squad who have found us. The building collapses and I fall down into another floor. When I wake up, Johnny explains that Goro Takemura has died and I had better escape before I die too. Arasaka soldiers still guard the building and I have to shoot my way out to escape. Just as I exit the building, the Relic biochip malfunctions and I black out.

I wake up in a crummy motel with Johnny talking to me. Suddenly there's a knock at the door with someone saying that have a message for me. I reluctantly let them in and it turns out to be a female. She sits down and tells me it will start soon. Johnny figures that it's a doll acting as a proxy for Hanako to ensure her security. She tells me that she believes me and that I was easy to find due to Takemura planting a tracker on me. She wants me to help expose Yorinobu but I ask for help with the chip first. She tells me that Anders Hellman is still alive and that she'll get him to help me.

She wants to meet up in person at Embers and assures me that it's discreet.
