I don't know how else to explain it. That bird murdered itself by insisting on flying into that tree, and here we are trying to make the world a better place by shooting animals with sedatives and then sharing them for sample purposes. Maybe the bird was protesting its exclusion from the sedative and sampling process and feels underrepresented in data? Maybe it's a staunch supporter of science and wants to participate. Or, maybe it's a fan of the Ramones and just wants to be sedated. Either way, I hope Harriet isn't mad at me about this.
