PS4 RELEASE DATE, VITA PRICE DROP ANNOUNCED - GAMESCOM 2013

The PlayStation 4 will launch in 32 countries around the world this holiday season, but will specifically be available in North America on November 15th and in Europe on November 29th. That beats the mere 13 countries that Xbox One will launch in, however, it is worth noting that Sony conveniently didn't say when the PS4 would launch in those other territories.
In addition to the release date, they announced 15 new games coming to PS4 and they announced a price drop for the 12GB version of the PS3 down to $199.
In addition to the PS4, Sony talked extensively about the Playstation Vita, including a price drop for that as well. The handheld device will be $199 here in North America and will have many integration points with the PS4, including Sony's desire to make every PS4 game playable on Vita. Plus memory cards will also get a price reduction.
