gaming
This unfortunate bug causes issues with the new Series X, series S, PS5 and some newer PC graphics cards as well. The problem is that this chip cannot pass 4K120 or even 8K60. These consoles and the newer RTX 3080 mixed with any of these new AV receivers will result in a black screen.
This problem was replicated with the Xbox and the RTX 3080. Tests with the PS5 have not been done but results will most likely be similar. The actual problem stems from the Panasonic Solutions chipset for HDMI 2.1. The bad news is that it probably won't be fixed with a firmware update and hardware changes will be needed for it to work.
