In this video, we take a look at some of the latest rumors for the next generation consoles, including the upcoming switch lite - which will be an ultraportable variant of the console - supposedly with an updated SOC that will require less power. There's also going to be an updated variant of the switch which will have 'modest upgrades' compared to the current variant.


We also have news for the PlayStation 5 - with one of the developers at naughty dog claiming the system has hardware ray tracing, but then takes back his statement claiming he doesn't have insider information - despite him working at naughty dog. We also have several interesting patents from Sony, including foveated rendering for eye tracking in VR and an AI patent that I found that adjusts game behavior based on your eye movements.


The Xbox anaconda might have had some of its designs revealed in a patent, and lastly, we also have a patent showing the new Xbox systems will support variable rate shading, much like how the Navi patent popped up online recently too,
