Another eq where I have no idea wtf is happening and where lag is so bad I start halfway into the eq and then what is shown on screen does does not match what the server thinks is happening mechanics wise.

I also can't why the hell I suddenly had this big cannon and tbh I don't even know what the alt fire is since when it looks so similar to the normal attack and when I used it dmg numbers were entire gone.
Either you get the cannon automatically or some lag bs meant the game didn't display the thing you have to interact with to get the cannon and interpreted some of my regular inputs as me getting the cannon, even though I set it up so Start is my interact button and I can't interact with something on accident.

Well, at least I got to do the eq at all cause unless you are close to endgame there are almost no people doing any eqs, it's like people never even bother to lvl more than 2 classes anymore so any eq below lvl 70 or even 80 is at best 1 other person impatiently wanting to do a 20+ minute Dark Falz run with just 2/8 if the party hasn't filled up within 15 seconds cause this is a lot of fun, doing a 20-30 minute eq run with just one random who may leave any time since the eq will take forever and be annoying af.

Still, this ip block forcing me to use a garbo vpn making the game already laggier than it is normal to the point I have Vanilla Ep 2 lag in almost all content that isn't half abandoned is extreme bs.

PS: quite obviously I got a 630 right after the victory screen and the next server I tried had the game just time out after having successfully connected.

Used to be that servers up for a few hours could dc any time so despite their high speed they weren't great and long running servers up for 20+ days could have high speed but apparently a cache filled to the brim because the were super laggy BUT there was a sweet spot of decent speed servers up for 1-3 days that would not just dc randomly and didn't have extreme but manageable lag.

No more, the last dozen or so times I played the game even servers up 1-3 days are super laggy and can dc any time, making the game as bad as early on when it used to crash reliably every 2-20 minutes because I hadn't reduced visible model count to below 5 since sega failed as hard with whatever they were (probably still are, I never turned model count back up) as that one Quna concert where the fog cause the same crash so their solution was not to actually fix their garbo code but rather to forcefully reduce detailed model count to like 5 or less for all players inside the lobby for the duration of the concert.

PPS: thank god quest storage exists in NGS, if this was vanilla and I'd once again dced after beating the boss but before getting rewards I'd been furious.
