Once I stopped feeling like I _had_ to do dailies and then was online so might as well do some EQ and whatnot I realized I was really not having fun anymore and it was all just a chore.

The game is still breaking every 5-10 minutes for me thanks to sega being assholes that created a loading screen with such unbelievably bad performance it softlocks the game every 1-3 times it pops up if you don't use an SSD and this pc is not worth upgrading anymore, not that I actually have free HD slots either way.

If not that black screen when changing character or just random crashes when periodically the user.pso2 file is overwritten with default values so detailed model count gets too high, which they never cared about fixing either.
And as if all that was not enough the ip ban for all non JP players means I have to use a laggy af vpn (certainly not gonna spend money on this game to use something other than SoftEther) so the game lags a lot all the time and it certainly isn't my pc when I turned off a bunch of graphics options for it to run smoother and am using tier 5 and not 6 graphics anyway.

Doesn't help how because of all this bs literally everyone one of my previously 3 dozen friends stopped playing and there is no one I know ever logging in again. In NGS virtually no one talks to anyone anymore if they're not on your friend list or in your team and my team is dead and gone as well (98 players offline) so making new friends doesn't really work either unless you are making a real effort.

PS: and the coup de grace is that android emulators I use to play SMT Liberation do not play well with NGS anymore, sega changed something or the emulator had a stealth upgrade and while it used to be fine before, if occasionally the emulator might become totally unable to connect through vpn at times now what happens is total resource blockage, 95% of both cpu and ram use from the emulator and pso2 so my pc feels like trying to run win 10 on a machine from 1995 or something.
