This is potentially horrific, due to the circumstances.

Q. Why do I get the Partial Invisibility powerups straight away?
A. So I don't inadvertantly pick them up later. Nothing worse than having to consciously think about irregular projectile paths during a heated firefight.

Q. Why do you lower all the platforms before killing the Mancubi?
A. Three reasons; first, to allow myself access to the Rocket Launcher. Second, so that I can grab the Megasphere as soon as I need it. Third, so that the Mancubi can bunch up, allowing more damage to be done by each rocket I fire - success in this map is now essentially time-based, after all.

That's at least how the strategy works in theory. In practice, it's trickier than that. The PI, as usual, provides nothing but problems (evident when getting my hands on the Berserk and Rocket Launcher), so taking cover for the early moments was a necessity. Once the Mancubi numbers were sufficiently low (giving me the opportunity to blast them without fear of any life-threatening retaliation), the effects were thankfully wearing off anyway, just in time for the Arachnotrons.

The Arachnotrons themselves didn't cause much of a direct problem (the low painchance lets me perform all manner of reckless stupidity), but the pressure was on to eradicate them before I could be swamped by the now-respawning Mancubi, so killing them with speed was crucial. Luckily, only one of them had managed to actually respawn before the centre platform was raised, although I was in no immediate danger; I could easily have blown a few more away quite comfortably.
