PlayStation port of the 3DO game Shockwave Assault, released in 1995 in the US/EU as a double CD set containing both the original game Invasion Earth and the expansion Operation Jumpgate. Released in Japan as separate titles.

Not much to say about this game. You pretty much just try to fly in one direction destroying enemies and targets while meeting and objectives given along the way. Miss an objective and its back to the last checkpoint to try again. The original game has 10 missions, and the expansion contains 5 levels. I did not see the difficulty options initially so the game has been played on default difficulty which is not to bad. The mission can be completed faster than shown here, but you do need to be sure what enemies you can and can't leave behind.

I'm guessing the game did not sell that well as the Playstation didn't get a port of the 3DO game Shockwave 2: Beyond the Gate.
