Psychedelic drugs cured my PTSD
57During a six-month tour in Afghanistan serving with the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME), veteran Craig Rands saw friends killed in front of him and, like so many others, faced years of PTSD.
Last year, after two attempts to take his own life, he decided to take drastic action, to do something that in the UK would be considered illegal.
He flew to Peru to take an ancient plant remedy and psychedelic drug found in the Amazonian jungle, and now says he is "totally" cured.
