Just hold the direction you want to go on the analog stick, continuously shake the nunchuck (it makes it easier to keep the cursor on the pull-star), and every time the pull-star bubble breaks, press A again, and you should spin further away from the pull-star! It’s surprisingly easy considering just how game breaking it could be...
