Alongside Rocket Knight Adventures, and Castlevania: Bloodlines, Pulseman is yet another Sega Genesis game that I met through the Sega Channel.

Unlike the other 2 games, it has a justified reason for it as it was the only way to play the game in North America before the Virtual Console fixed that.

As I make a playthrough of this game, I will also identify the similarities it has to Pokémon. To start, this game and that series were created by Game Freak, Pulseman looks like a cross between a Ledian and a Rotom, and Doc Waruyama's face looks a bit like Giovanni's.

Also, the name "Galaxy Gang", is literally the Japanese name for Team Galactic in Pokémon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum.

Finally, the computer Pulseman was born in is called the Saint Ann. This is the Japanese name of Pokémon first cruise liner: The S.S Anne.

The text narrating the opening was originally in Japanese, but I found a patch that lets this text be in English instead. Take note that all of the voice acting in this game is entirely in English regardless, which is kinda ironic when you think about it.

You need three "ingredients":

1. A ROM of Pulseman
2. A patch program by someone known as M.I.J.E.T.
3. A Pulseman Jap-Eng Translation IPS file.
