We all know Pokémon; not only is it one of the best-selling franchises in the gaming industry since its debut in 1995, the anime show that soon followed is still running to this day, as well. However, before Pokémon, there was a game developed by the same creators, Game Freak, for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive by the name of Pulseman. It never came out in Europe besides the Virtual Console version on the Nintendo Wii and in the United States it was solely available through the Sega Channel in the mid '90s: Sega's on-demand streaming service for games. The game was most common in Japan as it saw a physical release there, so with all that in mind, did Pulseman simply leave his one and only mark on the world with a solid platforming experience or has he become an obscurity for good reason?
