This is a beginner to intermediate water-coolers guide to installing a custom pump top onto the Swiftech MCP35X and Laing DDC series, also the Koolance PMP-400 and anything similar. Its a fairly straightforward procedure. There are a number of reasons for installing a custom pump top including increased pump performance, improved aesthetics, changing the pumps size and shape, allowing a choice of fittings, etc. The Swiftech MCP35X shown in this video already has a high performance stock pump top, so the main reason for installing a new pump top is aesthetics.
