This is also a game that has been laying around on my channel without being public, so I do recall that I found it had high production value, it was smooth and nice looking. Unlike the other puppetshow games, and I still haven't gotten my shit together to sit through that return to 'forgot the name of the town', because i am dead sure it's as horrible as the first one.
This was however nicer, and probably also newer. I do have to question why the hell our friend there is wearing a traditional kimono, I mean there's no one else sorta traditionally dressed, and it's not like her house is traditional either - you fucking know what i mean.
The devs just had to shoehorn some asian stuff in there for some reason, I wonder what was 'in' when this was made, it's usually why the devs of these games chose a specific visual theme... (sometimes more obvious).
Ofcourse I had to go look, and this game is from 2019, and while I admit I have a very genre specific taste in movies, and games (yeah even these silly HOGs). And only huge Asian movie I could tell was from 2019, that I know I saw, was 'Parasite'. And well, this game is a lot of things, but it is NOT inspired by Parasite that is for sure. (besides that Parasite is a Korean movie, and this game seems to want to play Japanese).

Parasite is made by Bong Joon Ho, and he also made Snowpiercer, The Host and Okja (those are the movies I saw of his) - and I originally noticed him because of Snowpiercer, since I am a huge geek and loved the graphic novella originally written by Jaques Lob, but had many writers over the years https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snowpiercer_(graphic_novel_series
