If you watch my channel whatsoever you will know some things about my retro gaming tastes; I love Konami arcade games, I love mid 90s arcade 3D hardware and I LOVE arcade racing games...so that means of course I love Midnight Run and own an original PCB for the game!
Technically the game's title is Midnight Run: Road Fighters 2...but I will just call it Midnight Run!

So we decided to extend this playlist from 10 games to does it even matter what the count is anymore? lol it's a lot!
If there are two things I love it's retrogaming and arcade racing games...so when a game like Midnight Run exists you know I am going to want to talk about it! While technically this does have a PS1 / PSX release...I warned you in the title so you can't leave me a negative comment! lol
Midnight Run....well...runs on the ZR-107 arcade pcb which was one of Konami's earlier 3D arcade boards and it definitely shows! But the vibe and overall feel of Midnight run makes it a retrogaming curiosity and IMO a must play from the video game preservation aspect. It's definitely a rare and obscure video game too...so not like you will see it in arcades any time soon!
Its definitely no video game hidden gem or Daytona USA, Scud Race or Ridge Racer that's for sure...but it would lead Konami to develop Thrill Drive, one of my favorite arcade racing games ever made...so its evolutionary!
