Push To Reject - Cloak & Dagger (1984 Atari)
13A spy-themed game called Agent X was being developed by Atari in 1983, but then Universal Pictures came calling to propose a partnership for a movie they were working on, and Agent X was reworked to Cloak & Dagger as sort of a tie-in to the movie (although it does not completely follow the plot).
Cloak & Dagger is a twin-stick game in which your objective is to make it to the bottom of a 33-level deep basement, retrieve the secret plans from the nefarious Dr Boom, and then make your way back out to the surface. There is a lot going in this game that I tried to cover - unique game mechanics with the whole picking up maps to reveal minefield patterns, and secret warps that break the game. I even ended up 1CC'ing it... yes, this is one of the earlier instances of an arcade game having an actual ending! I might've made this game look too good.
