This game is going on the shelf with Silent Hill 4 with horror games I probably won't ever play again. It had some really cool and scary moments (much like SH4), but was generally not fun in the moments in-between. Though it's problems differ from SH4, I can't recommend it at the end for the same reason. I finished it from a position of not having a good time, and that's the opposite of what a game should do.
