5Comparison of Puzz Loop 2 running in MAME 0.195 (before QSound LLE were reworked) and 0.201 (which has some HLE improvements), in that order. Please note this was recorded using the official binaries, so both use HLE.
The same game footage is shown for both (same INP file, no playback issues, luckily).

You may have to listen with headphones so that the difference is more obvious. I would say the sound was more muffled before, also now sounds are less hard-panned, so it is more easy on the ears with headphones.
