Puzzle Bobble - Boobles in Black and White | 1999 | Bandai WonderSwan
Puzzle Bobble, internationally known as Bust-a-Move, is a 1994 tile-matching puzzle arcade game developed and published by Taito. It is based on the 1986 arcade game Bubble Bobble, featuring characters and themes from that game. Its characteristically cute Japanese animation and music, along with its play mechanics and level designs, made it successful as an arcade title and spawned several sequels and ports to home gaming systems. A Wonder Swan version was released in 1999.
GAME RECORDING INFO:
The game was emulated at Retroarch. It was integer scaled to 4k, without bi-linear filtering, and retaining the original aspect ratio (display aspect ratio, not internal resolution). And captured using shader / filter that simulates the original screen of the hardware. I also created an image of the handheld to use as a bezel above the game, to create a nostalgic atmosphere.
