Puzzle Bobble on another handheld. This one's based on Puzzle Bobble 2, as it has most of the same music and similar graphics. Puzzle mode is a time attack mode where the point is to clear all the bubbles as fast as you can, like in Time Attack mode of Puzzle Bobble 2's ports. The rounds there are reused from Puzzle Bobble 2 as well as (the SNES version of) Puzzle Bobble. The puzzles that originally had the Special Bubbles from SNES Puzzle Bobble had those replaced with the Star Bubble from Puzzle Bobble 2 on, so they can't be really played in their original glory here. There's also VS CPU mode, which is exactly like the mode from other Puzzle Bobble games. There's also Survivor mode, which I played in this video. It's the only mode that comes with a proper scoring system, though relatively simple. It's an endless mode like with Challenge Record of the SNES version of Puzzle Bobble, where the point is to keep popping endless waves of bubbles until the game ends, but this time, bubbles also get sent to the player like in VS modes, and also has a "rank" that increases as more bubbles are popped. The game was released as "Bust-A-Move Pocket" in North America.
