3The second interactive documentary that they did ... the first one was about Atari , that was so good ... and successful , the studio got was bought by Atari (renamed\rebranded Infogrames that took the skin of Atari)
So what is this , this is theirs new thing called Gold Master Series . About games that created Genres , part 1 is about Karateka ... part 2 will be about Karateka II , YES its sequel ... that became Prince of Persia ...
Is it good , well its a docu about a game ... with beta builds of the game , that miss all ports (Amiga\Snes\Nes\Nec\PC-Engine\Sega Genesis etc) , even the Xbox360 3D remaster of Karateka (???) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4l4_afZVx0 ... with few bonus games that where never released , in remaster form ... so you get KARATEKA as a remaster with added ideas that where cut , and few other games ... you get scans , manuals , movies , rotoscope action , interview with his Dad that made the music for his game and was the hero ... and more
So is it good ? That was the question ... its not a total collection of all Karateka games , but few bits of information that made the idea ... passable , but the missing games that only take few Kb\MB ... missing since licensing issues they did not wanted to pay for ... its well , sad ... since without those you miss the whole picture , why for some this game to this day , for many... is Nostalgic ...
