QL | Sumatra - Fate of Yand (2019) Pendek Remade as a Retail Padded to Extremes Game
1and here is the Retail version of PENDEK now padded to extremes ... to make it a full Adventure ... that lost its charm ... yeah ... they had a good idea , but did not knew how to properly remade it as a full game ...
If you ask how it should have been made proper;y ... you remake the first game pitch but polish it out , and continue from the point this pitch ended :
He jumped on the helicopters rope ladder, but a sudden burst of wind made him lose balance ... he looses his grip , and falls into the depths off the jungle ... AND THEN YOU WAKE UP IN THE CAVE ...
Cutting this pitch , this hook that made the player glued ... ruined the story ... since now it turned into a ECO game , with decisions points ... about your girlfriend ... about your life ... what is important , your job or your happiness ... ehhhhhh , how about telling a story of a guy that tries to escape the jungle and finds a lost civilization instead ... OK ... yeah , this game misses good themes and hooks with good player direction then ... padding you with cluelessness ,to make this game longer then it should be ...
Guess they wanted to mimicked Sierras "EcoQuest 2" ... but failed , not understanding how to pace this game to make it fun ... too bad , since theirs "Legend of Hand" was brilliant
