Its an odd statement to make when talking about a classic retro video game from 1997, but it just possibly true and I'm going to explain why.

What happens when someone takes a retro game like Quake 2 and mods it with VR? It totally changes how you see and play the game, that is what happens.

What happens when someone takes a retro game like Quake 2 and mods it to be realtime raytraced/pathtraced then Nvidia takes it on a step and add support for their latest RTX tech? It totally changes how you see the game, that is what happens.

So what would happen if someone out there added the VR mod of Quake 2 to the RTX mod of Quake 2? Well, my mind would be blown for a start!
