Final Quake3 tournament 2002 in Oporto LAN Party (everything on Linux). In October 2002 there was a LAN Party organized by FEUP and CMP to promote Linux and Open Source software that lasted 3 days.

There was a Quake3 tournament for any attendees that wanted to participate. There were 40 participants in this tournament. All rounds were 15 minutes on the same map (q3dm6); started with 4 groups, each with 10 players, for each group there was a FFA game between the 10 players where the 1st and 2nd place of each round would go to quarter finals. Then the previous winners of quarter finals went to semi finals and finally the semi finals winners to this final game.

The 1st prize was a Pentium Celeron 1.7 GHz + 256 MB Ram + 80 GB HDD + GeForce2 64 MB + Monitor CRT 17"
The 2nd prize a GeForce 2 64 MB + Creative Sound blaster Audigy
