24No commentary playthrough of Quake 4. I was using the 3rd skill level if I remember correctly.
Quake 4 is the continuation of the Strogg saga which began with Quake 2. You are Matthew Kane, a space marine with a certain renown in the war against the Strogg. The game starts when humanity begins its final attack against the main planet of the Strogg.
Quake 4 is usually notorious... for not much to be honest. It's one of those Raven Software games which is good in most if not all of its aspects, but not great. It uses the Doom 3 engine.
As many other Raven games, it is a pleasant ride, something you won't regret if you don't really have better stuff to play. The game starts with very slow pace which can turn off some people, but a few missions into the game, the speed ramps up to a proper Quake game. It has all the weapons you can expect from a Quake game, with upgrades to add additional functionality to them and more kick. In the less good part, we have some vehicle and turret sections which I would skip if could, but at least they're not badly executed.

Quake 4 es la continuación de la saga Strogg que comenzó con Quake 2. Tú eres Matthew Kane, un marine espacial con cierto renombre en la guerra contra los Strogg. El juego comienza cuando la humanidad lanza su ataque final contra el planeta de los Strogg.
Quake 4 es conocido... por no mucho para ser honesto. Es uno de esos juegos de Raven Software que es bueno en todos sus aspectos, pero no destaca en nada. Usa el motor de Doom 3.
Como tantos otros juegos de Raven, es un viaje agradable, algo de lo que no te arrepentirás de haber jugado si no tenías otra cosa mejor. El juego empieza con un ritmo muy lento y le lleva unas pocas misiones para llegar al punto en el que alcanza el ritmo de un Quake. Tiene todas las armas que esperaríamos con mejoras para añadirles funciones adicionales y más pegada. En lo menos mejor del juego, tiene unas secciones de vehículos y de torretas que aunque no están mal ejecutadas, me las saltaría si pudiese.
