The Strogg, a race of mechanically enhanced beings assault Earth to harvest the Humans to augment their forces and gain new technological and biological knowledge.
With Earth's resources depleting, the Humans launch a desperate attempt to defeat the Strogg at their home turf, Stroggos. With the intent of destroying their main base of operations and their leaders (most notably the Macron).
