Quake CTF 2-on-2 KoC Tournament, Salamander and Infector
My very first "official" Quake CTF match ever, c. 1997. First round of the Kings of Capture 2-on-2 Quake CTF tournament. I'm Salamander, on the red team with (eventually) the dark green shirt, playing with teammate Infector, who is ten times better than me and basically carried the match despite having the highest ping. This spectator view was captured by Saint using a thing called FAQProxy before Quake had built-in demo recording. Unfortunately Saint was almost never pointing the right way to see anything interesting, but still, it was a close come-from-behind win on frags. (We actually lost if you count flag captures, but back then, scoring was done by frag count.) Oh, we were severely out-pinged, too.
