Quake done Quick - Quake done Quickest lite
338'Quake done Quickest lite' (QdQstlite) is a speedrun through all of Quake on easy difficulty, meaning getting from start to end as fast as possible, killing monsters only where necessary. This run improves upon the previous segmented run from 2005 - 'The Rabbit Run' (tRR). The run time is 10: 09, which is a 49 seconds improvement. The project was setup shortly after the release of tRR, with improved demos being sent in between 2005-2007. More than a decade later, the project was started again. Each level was recorded in one segment - played over and over again for hours, days, weeks, even months - and then pieced together to create this run. Despite many considering tRR to be optimized, with new findings and modern day execution, significant improvements could be made across the board. We couldn't be happier with the result.
It's been a wild ride and it's an amazing feeling to finally get to a point where we can check QdQstlite off the list after being an unfinished project for over 17 years! Hope you enjoy!
