Easy run through all of Quake in 11:47, improving the previous record by 10 seconds.
There hasn't really been any big developments in the id ER since 2016/2017 with the exception of Maxam's recent e4m7 find which saves about 2-3 seconds. All other timesaves come from tiny optimizations on many different maps.
Overall I'm fairly happy with the run; the only big mistake was in e3m6 where I bump into the death knight which cost me 2-3 seconds. In e4m3 I also bump into the scrag at the end which cost me roughly a second and a half. Apart from that I don't think I really lose more than a second on any one map. e1 and e2 were pretty solid. e3 can probably be around four seconds faster or something. My average e4 times are usually a second or two faster than this.
Had an 11:56 and an 11:51 before I finally got a time I'm satisfied with. I have
been on track for 11:3x on a few occasions, but you'd have to get really good e1m3 luck to pull that off I think. A lower 11:4x is definitely realistic, but I'm more than fine with 11:47 for now, still undecided if I want to keep pushing.
