This is a playthrough of Quake II on the game's hardest difficulty: Hard+.

By default in the regular version of Quake II, the Hard+ difficulty isn't available without the use of cheats (console commands). It is not found in the menu prior to starting the game and isn't hidden away in a difficulty selection map as in the original Quake. The source port I'm using, Yamagi, allows one to select the difficulty in the menu rather than using cheats. If you're unfamiliar with a fourth difficulty option, this is why. Quake II RTX, the official NVIDIA version of Quake II, also features Nightmare in the main menu, which is Hard+ rennamed. This is my first playthrough of Quake II on Hard+.
