This was incredibly frustrating. The triggers that "crouch" and "uncrouch" Quake guy also tend to halt all speed. Sometimes you can bypass it on the "uncrouch" with a smooth inward mouse movement toward the wall, but I wasn't able to get it consistently.

I'd imagine 14 is possible with near-perfect movement and bypassing that speed reduction.
