Quantum Break es un shooter en tercera persona que combina acción cinematográfica, coberturas y una fuerte trama argumental, con las enormes posibilidades que presentan los poderes de su protagonista, Jack Joyce, para manipular el tiempo.

Y es que el experimento fallido de una máquina del tiempo ha fracturado el propio tiempo y el jugador, como Jack Joyce, es el encargado de recuperar los pedazos. Mientras lucha por salvar el tiempo, también tendrá que enfrentarse a Monarch Solutions, una despiadada corporación liderada por su antiguo amigo y ahora enemigo Paul Serene. Jack intentará salvar el tiempo y Paul hará todo lo posible por impedírselo.
