Just when you thought the evil corporation is finally gone, comes the news that there were more to destroy. Use the powers of the robot ER-30, here in Quantum Patrol 2. You will have a list of missions just like before. Select the available missions and finish the required objectives. Shoot the enemies using weapons; grenade launcher and machine gun. Complete the list of achievements to earn more bonus cash. A new mission will be unlocked when you're done with the previous assignment. Always check the shop for any available weaponry you can buy and always upgrade the stats of your robot.

Overview:

It seems the ending from Quantum Patrol 1 didn’t get as happy as it could. The villains are back again in Quantum Patrol 2 but your trusty robot is out for some pumping action. You get to control him again as he takes out level per level, defeating enemies and getting stronger than ever. It seems that the obstacles and the enemies get stronger as the levels progress. Make sure to survive the levels to get back to your ship.

Aesthetics:

We’ll start first with the music of the game which is alright. It fits the game having that high tech motif as well as being in a dystopian like setting. The sound effects are also a highlight as they seem to sound good. The background music for the levels tends to repeat but it does have that nice synthetic rock feel to it. We’ll now take a look at the visuals of the game which are also nicely done. The background and terrain does repeat in terms of its design and color. The actual art style of the game is done well. The characters and enemies have that robotic look to them. The game looks and sounds good overall which makes a good play time.

Gameplay:

Quantum Patrol is a 2D sidescroller and platformer game. You control your trusty robot with preset controls. You can also change weapons and use them from time to time. Now if you’re not satisfied with the preset controls, you can always change them to suit your needs but make sure that the buttons don’t repeat. The objective for each level is to simply go from point A to point B while surviving enemy fire. One other objective is to defeat all enemies on the level before you can proceed to the end point which is your spaceship. You will have a life bar in the game so you need to watch it. If your health bar goes down then your robot will be dead. Don’t worry though as you don’t need to start the game over again. You will need to start the level over again which can be hard. In each level there will be enemies to destroy and obstacles to avoid. The enemies can destroy and obstacles like lasers can also destroy your robot. You can also obtain points in each level for good measure. You will also need to get the money items that you can get after destroying the blocks on the level. The money you will gain can be used for purchasing weapons and upgrades. Weapons can be expensive and you need to have slots to equip all of them. The slots can be purchased by upgrades and if you don’t want to upgrade the slots yet then just equip the weapons that you want to use until you get the slots that you can upgrade. The other things you can upgrade are health, armor and shield as well as the reload speed to help you beat the game.
